Refreshing Marriages in South Africa

At Family Impact we are passionate about seeing marriages and families strengthened. In early November Tumani from Family Impact South Africa was privileged to travel to Ladysmith, outside Durban, to facilitate Marriage Course 101 alongside Maureen and Jeffrey, who Family Impact had previously trained as trainers. 5 couples attended the course which was run as a residential course over 4 days at a farm.

All the couples highlighted the session on Communication in Marriage as the one that they most benefited from and shared that they have been encouraged to spend time looking after their marriages. One couple shared with Tumani that the course has improved their marriage and they enjoyed spending time together. They said they felt appreciated and important and they liked the way the course was delivered.

Tumani also says “I was so encouraged that after the course I was called by two of the couples who said they had started attending church together”. Maureen and Jeffrey were also excited by the impact of MC101 and have asked Family Impact to come back to Ladysmith in 2015 and train a group of pastors to run the course in their churches. We are looking forward to continuing to work with the community of Ladysmith to see marriages and families impacted and reflecting Christ.
